Who we are

David Veenhof and Adolfo Gatell are two sommeliers who are eager to share their passion for wine with you. David, a native Amsterdammer, discovered his love for wine during a vacation to Sicily when he visited a vineyard on Mount Etna.

Adolfo, on the other hand, grew up surrounded by wine. His father, a well-known figure in the Spanish wine industry, imparted wine knowledge to Adolfo from a young age. He holds the distinction of being the youngest person to achieve WSET Level 3 in Spain, and his ambition is to become the youngest "Master of Wine" ever.

Their paths crossed in Amsterdam when Adolfo, having recently moved to the city, met David at an Italian wine tasting event. Bonding over their shared passion for wine, they quickly became friends. David introduced Adolfo to the restaurant where he worked as a sommelier, and for over a year now, they have been working together as sommeliers.

Inspired by the enthusiastic responses from guests, David and Adolfo decided to organize tastings, allowing them to share their love for wine with a wider audience. Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a contagious enthusiasm for the world of wine. Join them on a journey of discovery and enjoyment as they uncork the world of flavors and stories behind each bottle.
